NVIDIA SHIELD TV owners can now control their devices with the help of Amazon Echo. This new feature is available through the NVIDIA SHIELD Hub app and works with both Android and iOS devices. To use this feature, you first need to enable voice control on your SHIELD TV. This can be done by going to Settings > System > Voice Control and selecting the Enable Voice Control option. After that, you can use Amazon Echo to control your SHIELD TV just like you would any other device. To start using this feature, just say “Alexa, turn on my NVIDIA SHIELD TV” or “Alexa, turn off my NVIDIA SHIELD TV”. You can also use these commands to change the volume, mute the television, and more. This new feature is a great way for NVIDIA SHIELD TV owners to easily control their devices without having to go through the traditional menus. It’s also great for those who have children who might want to watch their favorite shows but don’t want them using the regular buttons on the television remote. ..

The NVIDIA SHIELD TV is the Android TV box. It works well for watching your favorite movies, playing some games, and even as a Plex Server. You’ve been able to control the SHIELD TV with your voice thanks to Google Assistant, but NVIDIA is giving users one more option when it comes to voice commands.

Start by downloading the NVIDIA SHIELD TV Alexa skill. You’ll link your SHIELD TV to Alexa in the Alexa smartphone app by signing in with the same NVIDIA account that you signed into on the SHIELD.

Once that’s done, just select the SHIELD TV and Echo speakers you want to link together. That’s it!

What can you do with Alexa?

Once you get the NVIDIA SHIELD TV skill installed, you’ll be able to power your SHIELD on and off, control volume, open apps, control playback, and open the device settings.
